Let me just be the first to say that if you think you know what the Lost Trailers bring to the table, you haven’t heard anything yet. You are thrust into their latest album with current single “Holler Back,” which brings a lot of the southern rocking country sound that you’d expect from these guys. They display their rock driven side as they revisit tracks “Hey Baby,” which will have a fist pumping in the air, and “Gravy,” which will make the ladies dance at the end as instructed by the lyrics as they tell a not so usual story of saving the family farm. However, great these tracks are the selling point is actually when they turn it down a notch and hit you with the unexpected. “How Bout You Don’t” perfectly shows the emotions one goes through when they are face to face with the end of a relationship and they simply ask the question the song title displays. Tracks like “Blacktop Road,” and “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” display the cou ntry roots of the Lost Trailers and will make you feel like you are back in the country with them as they sing lyrics that paint a perfect picture. My personal favorite track from the album is “The Rest Of Us,” a track that looks at the not so sunshiny world that some people have found for their lives, but rather focuses on those that are a bit more lost in life and are looking for their place. Wrap all of this around “Country Folks (Livin’ Loud),” a track that seems to channel one of the Trailers main influences Alabama and will have you singing along with a familiar arranged chorus that will easily remind you of “Song of the South.”  This may just be one of the best overall albums to come from Nashville in a long time. By keeping the album short at only 10 songs, topping off at just about 35 minutes, there is no room for filler and you will be left wanting more.
